Airline loyalty program promotions (January 2025)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the offers we found for January.

Double Skywards miles on Emirates flights

Emirates Skywards doesn’t always get the love it deserves — after all, it partners with five of the six transferable credit card points programs, and you can redeem Skywards miles for Emirates’ bucket list-worthy first-class seats. With this promotion, you can earn even more valuable Skywards miles on your next Emirates flight.

• Earn double Skywards miles on all fare types and cabin classes on Emirates and Flydubai flights.

Hotel loyalty program promotions (January 2025)

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. Here are some January deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Earn unlimited double points at IHG hotels

IHG One Rewards‘ latest promotion is a potentially lucrative one because there’s no cap on the number of points you can earn.

• Earn double IHG base points starting on your second stay, then keep earning on unlimited stays through March 31.
• To qualify, a stay must be a minimum of one night at a participating hotel booked under a qualifying paid rate, with total spend exceeding $30 (or local currency equivalent) per night. Stays booked with points or points and cash are not eligible.
• Register for this promotion here before booking.

Earn double points at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy

The double points promos continue, this time at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, the brand’s vacation rental collection. You only have a few weeks to book a stay for this promotion, but the travel window is much longer — and it’s never too early to start planning summer and holiday trips.

• Earn double Marriott Bonvoy base points on all qualifying Homes & Villas stays of three or more nights, with a minimum spend of $1,500 (or equivalent).
• Register and book by Feb. 13. You’ll have until Dec. 30 to complete your stay.

Save 20% on Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt award stays

Hyatt has its own vacation rental platform called Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt — and right now, if you book a stay with points, you can get 20% of your points back for future adventures.

• Earn 20% bonus points back when you redeem World of Hyatt points for free nights at participating Homes & Hideaways properties.
• Your stay(s) must be completed by March 9 to qualify for this promotion. Points will be awarded two to three weeks after checkout.

Credit card promotions (January 2025)

Card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airfare to restaurant dining. Here are some of the offers we’ve rounded up this week. Keep in mind that you must activate these offers on your card and then use your enrolled card to make the purchase to earn the rewards.

Targeted Chase Offer at Southwest Airlines

Still thinking about a ski trip or Valentine’s Day retreat? This offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card can help you save on your next Southwest flight — and you’ll save even more if you fly in the month of February.

• Earn 5% or 10% cash back on your Southwest Airlines purchase, with a maximum of $40 cash back, when you spend $50 or more by Feb. 15.
• Earn 10% cash back on purchases of flights that occur in February 2025 or 5% cash back for other qualifying purchases.
• Payment must be made directly with the merchant (as opposed to an online travel agency).

Targeted Chase Offer at Best Western

This Chase Offer, which we found on the Chase Freedom Unlimited®, could help you save on your next Best Western stay.

• Earn 10% cash back on your Best Western stay when you spend $100 or more, with a maximum of $32 cash back.
• Offer valid at domestic properties of Best Western, Best Western Plus, Best Western Premier, Vib, GLo, Aiden and Executive Residency. SureStay Hotels and WorldHotels are excluded.
• Complete payment for your stay must be made directly with the merchant by Feb. 15.

Targeted Amex Offer at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy

If you’re looking for more spacious digs, this Amex Offer could save you up to 25% on a Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy stay. We found this on The Platinum Card® from American Express.

• Earn a $250 statement credit after spending $1,000 or more on property rates/charges incurred at the time of reservation for Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy properties.
• Offer expires April 13.

Targeted Chase Offer

• Earn 10% cash back on your one-time Frontier Airlines purchase, with a $42 cash-back maximum, either online or in-store at participating locations in the U.S. This offer expires Jan. 23.
