Married at First Sight Preview: David Tells His Wife He’s Texting Exes

Married at First Sight’s Michelle can’t believe what she’s hearing come out of her husband’s mouth.

In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, January 21, episode of the Lifetime reality series, David admits to texting not one but multiple exes during his marriage.

“Yes, I’ve texted Danielle who I got coffee for this morning,” he shares. “Danielle is a girl that I dated on Tinder. I text Jackie who is one of my best friends. I’ve seen Roxie. This is another girl that I dated on Tinder awhile back.”

Visibly shocked by the casual confession, Michelle, 38, begins to ask her husband if he thinks this is normal.

“This sounds so bad,” she says. “That is not OK.”

When David, 35, claims he “didn’t know” it would upset Michelle because the rule was never “established,” the couple confront their struggles with assumptions.

“There we go with our assumptions again,” David explains. “Maybe that’s our problem. We assume so much. I am friends with my exes. She reached out and I reached back. What is the problem?”

For Michelle, it’s a big problem.

“The problem is we are married,” she replies. “I’m not sure if you know this or not. Normally, married people don’t go on dates with other women and they don’t sext other women.”

While viewers will have to tune in to hear more about the scandalous texts, this isn’t the first problem David and Michelle have encountered in their marriage.

Earlier this season, Michelle voiced her concern that her husband still lives with his parents.

“I just don’t think it’s attractive,” she said in a December 2024 episode. “I have worked my butt off and I wanted someone who was my equal or my counterpart. I just wasn’t expecting to be married to someone who lives at home.”

In David’s defense, the newlywed said he was living at home to save money for the next chapter of his life.

“I buy my own groceries. I give them rent. I paid off my car four months earlier,” he shared. “I’m still paying off student loans. Financially for me, I think I was making the right decision for myself at that time.”
