The Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program seeks a full-time
Prevention Coordinator focused on supporting the systemwide development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive prevention programs
and strategies for faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students. This new position will work collaboratively with the growing team at
SMPP to support the administration of prevention programs and strategies. This position reports to the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program
Director.
The Prevention Coordinator is a 75% percent time, 12-month, civil service position on the University’s Twin Cities campus.

Job Duties
Administrative Support for Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of Prevention
Efforts (55%)
- Plan, coordinate, and administer online trainings, including communications, tracking of completion rates, and
compliance management - Coordinate, support, and occasionally facilitate systemwide and individual campus prevention meetings, as well
as other key stakeholder committees and workgroups - Represent SMPP in collaborative spaces, such as tabling events, or on
cross-departmental and cross-campus task forces or committees as needed or appropriate - Engage in research and documentation related
to program development, evaluation, and facilitation - Support the organization and management of community-specific student
prevention programs including reserving space, ordering food and other supplies, updating materials, documenting processes, and other
administrative responsibilities as needed related to engaging students in these programs
Communication (30%)
- Communicate
proactively about the work of SMPP to stakeholders and the broader community, including designing reports to communicate about SMPP surveys,
and other prevention efforts - Track, document, and coordinate relevant updates to policies, procedures, websites
- Coordinate
scheduling, take meeting minutes, draft email templates, create and update relevant stakeholder listservs - Work collaboratively with
OIT, Communications, and others to ensure smooth implementation of online training - Maintain and update the SMPP
website
Office Support (15%)
- Aid Director and Assistant Director in administrative office duties including but not limited
to: expense reconciliation, ordering supplies, coordinating payments to student leader volunteers - Organization of office policies,
procedures, files and developing organizational index. - Assist Director and Assistant Director in administrative duties related to
hiring and onboarding as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
relevant field or any combination of education and relevant experience to total 4 years (to include one year of administrative experience,
preferably in higher education) - Commitment to engaging in sexual misconduct prevention and office administration with an
anti-oppression approach - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to organize and create
efficiencies in office environments - Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a timely manner
- Ability to work
collaboratively as part of a team, and in partnership with diverse communities - Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity,
inclusion, and diversity - Demonstrated experience in, and an ongoing commitment to, working effectively with and across diverse
communities, including: people of color, underrepresented groups and new immigrant populations; American Indians; people with both visible
and invisible disabilities; women; people of various gender and sexual identities and expressions; and first-generation students from
economically disadvantaged backgrounds - Openness and responsiveness to feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education with staff and faculty
- Experience with or knowledge of best practices in sexual
misconduct prevention - Experience facilitating discussions, leading meetings, or presenting to staff and faculty constituencies
About the Department
The Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program (SMPP) is a systemwide office responsible
for leading and coordinating the University’s sexual misconduct prevention and response activities in partnership with University
Stakeholders systemwide located within the Office for Equity and Diversity. SMPP is broadly responsible for supporting system-level,
data-driven policymaking; supporting and developing sexual misconduct programming for students, staff, and faculty; convening stakeholders
to facilitate critical collaborations for effective prevention and response; and monitoring and evaluating the University’s sexual
misconduct prevention, reduction, and response efforts and their effectiveness over time.
Pay and
Benefits
$37,500 – $41,250; depending on education/qualifications/experience
