The Dean of Students Office Specialist serves as a triage person assisting with student issues
and concerns; coordinating student case administrative work, and providing support for Student Rights and Community Standards.
20-25
hours per week, $40-50/hour based on experience; position open until filled with anticipated end date of June 30, 2025.
Key
Responsibilities
- Administrative Hearing Officer – Assist with Conduct and Academic Integrity efforts, including working with
campus partners, faculty, Academic Services, and students accused of violations of Student Rights and Community - Standards
(behavioral and academic concerns) - Intake meetings – Conduct educational meetings for students referred by the Office of Equal
Opportunity or other campus partners and provide appropriate follow-up including issuing No Contact Orders and other interim restrictions. ?
Assist with coordinating and supporting Student Conduct Boards. - Other duties as assigned – include but not limited to providing
support for Dean of Students programmatic needs, assisting with events, draft presentation materials, data management and assessment, Dean
of Students office coverage, etc.
Additional Job Description
- Physical/Environmental Demands: Office environment/no
specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. - Education: Master’s degree in higher education or related field required.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years working in a higher education setting.
- Prior experience working with student conduct
or related field required. - Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and to function autonomously and in partnership with
members of the Dean of Students Office and campus partners - Working knowledge of Maxient or similar conduct management software is
preferred - Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
