This position maintains distance learning information technology equipment and resources;
configures, troubleshoots, modifies, and repairs equipment. Oversee all distance learning activities within the Office of Regional Centers
and Online Programs.
Responsibilities
Job Duties
* Provide guidance, troubleshooting, and make informed
decisions for the distance learning technology operation to colleagues and IT technicians in solving intermediate-level technical
problems.
* Schedule and supervise distance learning activities, including classes, meetings, and video conferences.
* Place
equipment orders for all Regional Centers and Online Program locations, in collaboration with Executive Director and IT Technicians.
*
Maintain departmental equipment inventory for all locations, in accordance with established university policies and procedures, and conduct
an annual inventory of equipment and verify with the annual inventory list provided by the Controller’s Office.
* Serve as a source of
statistical data for departmental reporting at the request of the Executive Director, Academic Affairs, and/or the Chancellor’s Office.
* Monitor and maintain distance learning classroom policies and procedures and ensure room supplies are available.
* Responsible for
the development and maintenance of a Master Distance learning schedule.
* Supervises Martin student worker distance learning technicians
and facilitates scheduling.
* Review and verify the SQL instructional methods including class times and make any revisions/corrections,
if applicable.
* Provide instructional and administrative support for off-campus operations, including retention of course syllabi and
course schedules.
* Assist with the marketing, social media platforms, websites, and printed material for the Office of Regional Centers
and Online Programs.
* Cross-trains and provides coverage during peak periods.
* Other duties as assigned for the Office of Regional
Centers and Online Programs.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school
degree with three-four years of office experience or bachelor’s degree with one year of office experience
Preferred
Qualifications:
* Experience in the field or completion of specialized training.
* Experience working for a higher education
institution, campus operations, and student support.
* Three years of experience directly related to position requirements.
