Job Description:
SUNY Schenectady County Community College is
seeking a full-time Early College High School Student Success Manager. Under the general direction of the Director of College and High
School Partnerships and reporting to the project Director of College and High School Programs, the Early College High School Student Success
Manager is a full-time, grant funded position, responsible for the management and leadership of the Student Success Staff and Outreach to
all Early College students, both at Schenectady High School and SUNY Schenectady. The Early College High School Student Success Manager is
responsible for promoting a positive and successful learning experience for students in an effort to increase student retention, success,
and completion. The Early College High School Student Success Manager oversees the Early College High School Program Coaches and is
responsible for monitoring the Starfish Early Alert System and Infinite Campus at Schenectady High School.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages student, teacher, parent contact and assigns contact by a program
assistant. - Supervises the scheduling of staff for appropriate coverage during hours of operations, which may include evening and
weekend hours including but not limited to after school, student check-in meetings, parent/teacher meetings, tutoring, etc. - Monitors
students’ schedules, course selection, credits, grades, and attendance. - Oversees Early College Social Media and Program
Newsletters. - Schedules and assign coverage for volunteering opportunities, student internships, job shadowing, parent engagement
events, and service learning opportunities. - Serves as an administrator of Infinite Campus, DegreeWorks, and Starfish Early Alert
System including assigning flag, referrals, follow-ups. - Collaborate with Schenectady High School Administration and Staff to
identify and develop intervention strategies for student success and ensure communication with Early College students. - Collaborate
with Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and College and Career staff to identify and develop intervention strategies for student success and
ensure communication with Early College students that are on campus. - Participate in New Student Orientation to educate attendees
about the Early College programming, events, and offered student supports. - Maintains data on students who use the services and
programming provided. - Occasional evening and weekend hours required (e.g., Field Trips, Volunteering, Orientation,
etc.).
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years’ working
with students in a community college or other educational setting. - Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability
to work autonomously - Attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with high school aged students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 1 year of experience working with students in a support role
Special Information:

Additional Information:
Salary: $55,000
