Primary Purpose:
Under the general direction of the SUCCESS TRIO
Program Director, the TRiO Student Success Coordinator oversees the tutorial program and a caseload of 100 undergraduate students from
University of the Pacific. The Program Coordinator provides ongoing guidance, support, and resources to students from first-generation,
low-income, and students with disability backgrounds. Supports student retention, graduation, and graduate school assistance.
This is
a full-time, 10-month position with funding guaranteed through the grant cycle ending 8/31/2025
Essential Functions:
- Assist with recruiting and recommendation of project participants meeting eligibility requirements to Project Director.
- Oversees the tutorial program, hires, supervises, and provides budgetary reports to Project Specialist and Project Director.
- Monitor’s student academic performance and maintains appropriate electronic and written documentation in student folders and
database. - Assist with coordinating program events, some of which will be outside of the normal workday.
- Advises and
assists students with postsecondary course selection, graduate school admissions, and financial aid process. - Maintains academic
records of participant caseload and provides documented services and activities, including referrals to campus resources. - Ensures
compliance with University and federal grant regulations. - Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
This
position serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA) as outlined by the Clery Act. CSAs have federally mandated responsibilities to report
crimes that are reported them.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, counseling, or related field from an
accredited college or university. - Two (2) years of relevant professional experience working in a TRiO federal program or similar
related program for disadvantaged and at-risk college students that focuses on improving their academic standing, persistence, and college
graduation rates. - Experience developing, coordinating, and implementing project programming.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in managing tutorial programs..
- Knowledge in training and supervising tutors,
tracking student progress, and creating personalized learning plans to ensure academic success. - Knowledge in the areas of academic
advising, financial aid, course scheduling, student counseling, and career program planning and development. - Demonstrate
sensitivity to the special needs of eligible students. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience
working with budget and payroll matters. - Proficient computer skills and working knowledge using software applications.
- Professional or personal experiences in overcoming barriers like those confronted by the participants.
- Positive attitude,
proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and
inclusion. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, including understanding FERPA and other policies, procedures or
regulations guiding interactions with students and colleagues. - Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures. - Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer

Work is performed during standard hours, additional hours may be required to meet business needs or deadlines.
Valid
driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University
business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
Hiring
Range: $20.16 – $26.70 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position,
candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an
offer.
